Exciting News!

Hello!

Since my last post, there have been some new developments that I am very excited to tell you about.

Firstly, I am very pleased to announce that I have am officially a recipient of an International Opera Awards Foundation Bursary for 2016/17. This is going to be absolutely crucial for my development this year as so many aspects of a singer's career are costly and yet completely vital (for example, regular lessons and coachings). This money will also go towards paying for practice space and competition entry fees. I am so relieved to be able to cover these costs and focus on my upcoming contracts.

My Second piece of news is that I have got into the finals of The John Kerr Award for English Song and will be competing on the 8th October at St. Lawrence's Church in High Wycombe. I will be performing the following songs:

Fidelity (Haydn)

The Seal Man (Rebecca Clarke)

When Laura Smiles (Rosseter)

Pied Beauty (Grace Williams) From 6 poems by Gerard Manley Hopkins [This has been transposed for me by Ty Cerdd from the original Contralto Version)

Three Songs from 'An Amherst Bestiary': The Cat, The Owl, The Spider (Julian Phillips)

Sweet Water's of Tyne (Eric Boswell)

The Wind at Dawn (Elgar)

If you would like to attend, more details can be found here:
